Lincoln Avenue Holds Annual Science Fair
Great turnout by all the grades at this year's event.
Close to 100 students from recently participated in the school’s annual Science Fair. Projects were displayed throughout the school in the media center, cafeteria and gymnasium all divided by grade.
While the Science Fair is only mandatory for the older students, that didn’t stop plenty of kindergarten, first and second grade students from showing off their science skills. The kindergarteners and first grade students occupied the space in the school’s new . The project boards lined the exterior of the library and included some great ideas like an automatic guinea pig feeder, a study on the different types of mouthwash, a project that sought to find out if men or women were more generous and a project that studied the effects of going green with energy conservation.
In the all-purpose room, the second graders set up shop to show off their talents. There was a study on which microwave popcorn brand pops best, a project that compared the cleanliness of mouths in dogs vs. humans, a live demonstration of an erupting volcano, and the capabilities of potato power.

The fourth and fifth grade students stepped up their science fair efforts and really brought some unique ideas to the table.
