Suffolk Legislator Holds Health Heroes Thank You Card Drive
Suffolk legislator Anthony Piccirillo started a drive to collect thank you cards for health care workers fighting the coronavirus pandemic.

SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY — A Suffolk County legislator this week launched a drive to collect cards to share the community's appreciation of health care workers working during the coronavirus pandemic. On Monday, Anthony Piccirillo announced the Health Heroes Thank You Card Drive to collect thank you cards to distribute to doctors, nurses and emergency service workers.
Piccirillo represents the 8th Legislative District, which covers Bayport, Blue Point, Bohemia, Holbrook, Holtsville, Lake Ronkonkoma, Medford, Oakdale, Sayville and West Sayville.
"There are many health care workers within the 8th Legislative District that are working long hours under tough conditions" Piccirillo said. "These amazing heroes who are on the front lines deserve to be thanked during this crisis."

The cards can be mailed to or dropped off in a box outside the 8th Legislative District Office on 1609 Grundy Ave. in Holbrook during normal business hours through May 1.
"I am looking forward to seeing our community come together and participate in this card drive while practicing safe social distancing," Piccirillo said. "The constituents who I represent are always willing to help; and I am confident this program will be a great success. Even though a simple thank you does not show how much we truly appreciate these Health Heroes daily heroic efforts during this pandemic; I hope these cards will brighten their day."
