The Bayport School of Music has provided private music lessons to the local community for the past 18 years. Many students who have studied music at the school have successfully pursued their musical dreams. The School caters to students of all ages, levels and styles who are interested in becoming a better musician. The school most certainly produces happy students!

The Bayport School of Music is Directed by Dr. David Doig who earned his doctorate in musical performance from Stony Brook University. Here is David’s shot bio:

David Doig has established an excellent reputation as a music teacher and performer. His accomplishments include a sold out debut recital at Carnegie Hall, an Earned Doctorate in Music Performance, and employment at Five Towns College as an Associate Professor of Music.

David has performed at Lincoln Center, Merkin Hall and Symphony Space in NY City and many other well known venues across the United States. His publications include the recordings “Solo Music for Acoustic Guitar”, “Popular Guitar Classics”, “Guitar Dreams” and the ensemble recording “The Bridge” with the Progressive rock group “Cathedral” distributed by Musea Records.

David has performed on stage with John Couger, Steve Morris, Joe Satriani and many others. His students include Patrick Cummings owner of Brian Moore Guitars.
