Police seek public's help in finding man who stole cash from a woman's purse at Sunshine Spa.

Suffolk Police are seeking the public's help in finding a man who stole money from a woman's purse at the Sunshine Spa in Patchogue.

The theft took place on January 31 at 11:30 a.m., according to the release issued early Monday morning. The Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest in the crime.

According to police, a man received a massage at the spa, located at 646 Route 112, and took an employee’s purse into a bathroom and stole the cash and hit it under the sink.

The suspect is described by police as a black male bearing a scar on the back of his head. Police said the suspect fled the store in an unknown direction after the crime.
