No. 92 - Outdoor Dining

Eating dinner outside may be the best way to end a summer day.

We know Bayport-Blue Point residents may think they know everything that's going on in the area, but there are events, programs and places that even a lifelong resident may not be aware of.  Bayport-Blue Point Patch wants to highlight all that's fun, interesting and new in B-BP so residents can take advantage of the opportunities for entertainment our community offers. Every week, we'll post something to try in the area, eventually counting down to #1.

The warm evenings of summer make it the perfect time of the year to eat dinner alfresco. Here is a list of local eateries that offer outdoor seating.

 Bayport –

There are two wooden picnic tables in the front of Avocados to enjoy a scrumptious grilled shrimp fajita on a summer night.

On the front lawn of Grey Horse Tavern is a little nook tucked away in a garden with two picnic tables where you can dine on local fresh food.

This longtime local pizzeria has five cement tables with benches and umbrellas for shade.  Enjoy the summer air while eating a slice of pizza or a piece of homemade lasagna.

The Garage offers causal friendly dinning for the whole family.  They have an attached patio with plenty of tables to enjoy their Cadillac Cheddar Burger in the fresh air.

 Blue Point –

Blue has a beautiful outside patio that overlooks gardens with sculptures. A wonderful place to dine on the fine food they offer on a summer’s evening.

For more than 80 years Flo’s has been the hot spot for outside summertime dinning. Large wooden picnic tables with umbrellas surround this restaurant and there is also seating at their outside bar.  A Flo Dog with a Floppucino Shake is the perfect meal for a summer night.

Just about all the tables at JT’s are located outside on their deck that overlooks the boats on the water. On a summer night feel the cool bay breeze as you dine on a meal like Blue Point Beer battered fish and chips.

The Sage Café has a small patio in front with plastic tables and chairs to eat tasty treats like chicken wings and baked clams.
