Pair Invade Long Island Home, Resident Hurt
BREAKING: Two men forced their way into a home Friday night, police say.

BAYPORT, NY – Two men forced their way into a Long Island home Friday night and injured a resident, police said.
According to Suffolk Police, the men confronted a resident on Cinque Lane as he entered his home around 9 p.m.
The men pushed their way into the home, causing injuries to the resident. The men fled with an undetermined amount of stolen cash from the home, police said.

The resident was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital by Sayville Community Ambulance with a broken leg and arm. No arrests have been made and the investigation is continuing.
About a half hour after the home invasion, a man fleeing police crashed his car into a tree and then took off on foot near the Long Island Expressway in Ronkonkoma. Police have not said if they believe the two incidents are related.
