Police Investigating Bayport Home Burglary
Incident on Tuesday briefly put Bayport-Blue Point schools in lockout mode.
A Bayport home burglary on Tuesday morning put Bayport-Blue Point schools in lockout mode for a brief period.
Police say a Lakeview Avenue resident returned home at about 10:45 a.m. and discovered the front door had been kicked in. The resident then saw a man fleeing from the house through a back door, police said.
The burglar, described as a heavy-set white male in his 20s or 30s, stole a purse containing credit cards, police said.
