A 56-year-old Sayville man is charged with second degree harassment after an altercation at the Island 16 movie theater in Holtsville.
Daniel Garbarino, of River Street, reportedly punched a fellow theater-goer in the head following an argument regarding the use of a cellphone, according to police, and was subsequently arrested and charged with harassment.
The incident, according to police, reportedly occurred on June 23 at around 9:30 p.m. Police state Garbarino was upset that another customer in the movie theater was using his cell phone and got into a dispute with the unidentified victim that led to the physical altercation.This news article includes reporting from Sachem Patch.
