Sayville FD To Hold Multi-District Open House and Food Drive

WEST SAYVILLE, NY - The Sayville Fire Department, in partnership with Assemblymember Jarett Gandolfo, will hold its first-ever Multi-District Fire Prevention Open House and Food Drive.

The event takes place on Sunday, October 17 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the West Sayville Fire Department, located at 80 Main Street, and features fire prevention demonstrations such as CPR, hose handling, and automobile extrication. Kids can also participate in a junior firefighter challenge and can learn and interact with station fire trucks, ambulances, and equipment.

Participants will also have the opportunity to meet and learn from the local fire departments of Sayville, West Sayville, Holbrook, Bayport, Bohemia, Blue Point and Community Ambulance Company. Fire extinguishers and smoke detectors will be handed out to families for free while supplies last.

Participants are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item for donation. Volunteer membership applications will also be available to anyone interested in joining their local unit.
