Sayville to Welcome New Artisan Cheese & Charcuterie Shop
Sayville Cheese will offer artisanal charcuterie boards featuring cheeses from women-owned companies.

SAYVILLE, NY — Get ready to say cheese, Sayville.
Sayville Cheese, a new artisanal cheese and charcuterie shop, will be opening this Friday at 110 Main Street.
Christine White, a West Sayville resident and owner of Sayville Cheese, told Patch the store will offer international as well as domestic cheeses normally not sold in grocery stores, to introduce “different palates” to the community. White also said she is focused on importing products from women-owned companies.

“This I felt was something that people would absolutely love to both see and enjoy,” she said.
White, who is an esthetician and has a background in interior design, said she wanted to put her education to use in her business in an aesthetically-pleasing way. The interior shape of the 250-square-foot location, she said, is shaped like a cheese wedge.

“People enjoy eating with their eyes,” she said. “I know it sounds cheesy, but it’s like a little place of art to me."
Sayville Cheese’s grand opening and Chamber of Commerce's red-ribbon cutting will be held on Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Cheese tastings along with wine from Sayville’s Down the Rabbit Hole Wine Boutique and cookies from Cookie Baby will be served.
