Several LI Libraries Closed Friday Due To Inclement Weather

Many Long Island libraries announced closures Friday, due to the early morning snowfall.

SUFFOLK COUNTY — As the tri-state area received its first snowfall of 2022 morning, many Long Island schools and establishments took precautions.

Several libraries throughout the Suffolk County's South Shore announced closures or delayed opening times on Friday, due to the inclement weather.

The following libraries remain closed and will re-open on Saturday:

  • Amityville Public Library
  • Babylon Public Library
  • Copiague Memorial Public Library
  • Deer Park Public Library
  • East Islip Public Library
  • Lindenhurst Memorial Library
  • North Babylon Public Library
  • Sayville Public Library

West Islip Public Library announced on its website that it will have a delayed opening time at 12 p.m.

Brentwood Public Library remains closed on Friday due to COVID-19 safety protocols and will re-open on Monday.
