The library will host a special presentation on Thursday, October 15 from 7:00-8:30pm. Let Shakespeare speak to you as he has never done before! Don’t worry if you’ve tried in vain before to appreciate his plays; we’ll take him on his own terms, through modern eyes, and glimpse how he helped build the rich English language. Watch and compare video clips on different actors, under different directors, handling the same lines to see what makes his speeches great, and develop techniques to learn how better to enjoy Shakespeare on our own. Additional sessions will take place on Thursday, October 22 and October 29 from 7:00-8:30pm. The library is located at 760 Ocean Avenue, Bohemia.
