Smith-Weaver Post Honors Supervisor Nolan
American Legion debuts renovations at the post.

Islip Town Supervisor Phil Nolan was recently honored by The American Legion for his support in restoring Smith-Weaver Post 651. Also present was Islip Councilman Gene Parrington.
The building that houses the Smith-Wever Post 651 was originally dedicated in 1932. The original building was completely remodeled and officially rededicated on July 2, 2011.
“The American Legion is a great organization that does so much for the community,” said Nolan. “I’m glad to support them in their patriotic and civic endeavors.”
