Summer Food Donations Needed
Help Lighthouse Mission provide summer meals for children in need!
Summer is almost here and while many Long Islanders are busy planning vacations, many others are struggling to feed their families. Once school ends, these families will be in even greater need as their children no longer receive free lunches.
Lighthouse Mission, Long Island’s largest Mobile Food Pantry, aims to help these families by providing a free nutritious meal for kids at their daily food outreach programs. While their parents wait on line to receive groceries, the children will be able to receive a meal (sandwiches, snacks, and a beverage) at a table in the shade.
To meet this need, Lighthouse Mission needs your help! Throughout the summer months they will be accepting donations of food at their Bellport headquarters building to bring to Long Islanders in need.

Collecting food is easy! You can choose to purchase 1-2 additional items when shopping for your groceries or partner with a few neighbors and friends to gather a larger amount. Part of a social group like Knights of Columbus, Lions Club, Boy Scouts, or the PTA? Group food drives are an excellent way to help local families in need!
Please consider how you can help this summer!
