Talk Back: Would You Support Meter Parking in Sayville's Downtown?

Parking can be tough in Sayville, especially weeknights around dinner and weekends. It's rare to find a spot on the northside of Main Street most days after 11 a.m. Metered parking could help the situation by making long-term parkers retreat to parking lots behind the storefronts. Several business areas, notably Babylon Village, has long used metered parking to help shoppers access retail stores and to keep parking available to shoppers.

There is no proposal before any entity on putting metered parking in Sayville, but Patch was curious what residents, shoppers and store owners would think of the option.
