The Biggest Loser in Sayville
Curves announces the winners of their Biggest Loser contest.
A total of 207 ¼ pounds were worked off by 31 ladies that joined the contest and there is a at in Sayville. Jackie Monaco was declared the winner by owner Sharon Boyle. Monaco lost of 28 ½ pounds during the 10 week competition.
"I feel amazing!" said Monaco right after being crowned the . And besides feeling amazing, she looks amazing. She went from a size 16 to size 10. "I am donating my old clothes, so I never fit into them again." Over the years after losing weight and then gaining it back, she would always hang onto her "big" clothes just in case, but no more.
Working out at Curves six days a week and keeping track of everything she ate, along with eating healthy helped her to lose the weight. Monaco is a cook by profession, but has learned to just take a taste of what she cooks not eating a big plate of it.

When asked how hard it was to lose the weight, Monaco said, "It was easy to do at Curves, I come everyday right after work and I am absolutely going to continue with Curves." She is 10 pounds away from her goal weight.
Kathy Seff, the other Curves member Sayville Patch was following during the competition was the eighth . She lost 8 ½ pounds and over 12 inches. "I am so happy!"

Seff believes the 30 minute circuit really helped her to shed the pounds. "How could you not fit that into your schedule? I love Curves and who can beat the cheering squad known as owner, Sharon Boyle with her encouragement to give you that push."
Losing weight gave Seff the motivation to run in her first 5K race in November. "If it wasn't for working out at Curves I wouldn't have had the strength to complete it."
In second place was Tara Patin. She lost 15 ½ pounds and said, "I feel great! I cut down on what I eat and I workout 3 or 4 times a week." Patin joined Curves in July and loves going to the gym."You do not have to think about. You get on the machines and it tells you what to do."
The three top winners of the received a cash prize. The remaining money raised from the contest is being split between a new stretching machine for Curves and donations to Animal Rescue, the Sayville Food Pantry and the Blue Point Shelter.
Boyle said, "The contest went really well considering it was during the start of the holidays. Great job ladies!" With New Year's Resolutions just around the corner Curves will be starting a new Biggest Loser contest in January.
