It's been a month since New Year's and the popular resolution to get fit and get in shape may have been pushed to the side. But a local Sayville fitness business wants to help people get on the track to being healthy.
Walk to Run Fitness will hold a free one-hour clinic on Saturday, February 16 at 7 a.m. Participants need to register ahead of time. Those attending will learn how to start a fitness walking or beginner running program. The clinic will include information on injury prevention, goal setting, apparel and sneakers, hydration, strength training, stretching and a 30-minute workout with instruction on form and how to properly warm up and cool down.
The class will take place on the Plex indoor track near the train trestle in Sayville. Appropriate workout apparel is required. Because space is limited, registration is required.
