Greenburgh OKs Hotel Occupancy Tax
The so-called 'bed tax' will go into effect Feb. 1.

GREENBURGH, NY — The Greenburgh Town Board voted Friday to approve the 3 percent hotel occupancy tax recently authorized by Gov. Andrew Cuomo and the state Legislature.
The law goes into effect Feb. 1, Town Supervisor Paul Feiner said.
“We anticipate receiving as much as a million dollars a year in additional revenue as a result of this vote,” he said, add that the revenue will be used to keep taxes in unincorporated Greenburgh down.
