Scarsdale Man Arraigned in Stabbing Death of Wife
One of the charges he faces is second-degree murder.

The Scarsdale financial expert who is accused of stabbing his wife to death was arraigned Tuesday.
Acting Westchester County District Attorney James A. McCarty said Julius Reich, 62, of 50 Lincoln Rd., was charged with second-degree murder, a felony, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor, in the death of Dr. Robin Goldman.
Reich was a lead partner at the financial firm WeiserMazars LLP at the time of his arrest. Goldman was a pediatrician.

In a prepared release, McCarty said that the defendant ambushed his wife January 20, between 8 a.m. and 10:10 a.m., while she was showering. He repeatedly stabbed her to death with an 8-inch kitchen knife.
Goldman was stabbed 22 times and had wounds to her hands, chest, abdomen and back. There were puncture wounds to her lung, heart, diaphragm, liver and kidney.

She died at the scene.
After the attack on his wife, police said, Reich went downstairs and eventually call 911.
Responding Scarsdale police officers found Goldman’s body, and Reich was placed under arrest.
The couple was in the process of getting a divorce but were living in the same residence.
Reich remains in jail, and his next appearance in court is scheduled for April 5.
If convicted, he could be sentenced to 25 years to life in prison.
Prosecutors in this case are Assistant District Attorneys Christine O’Connor and John O’Rourke of the Superior Court Trail Division.
