Scarsdale Middle School Hosts 'Pajama Program' Pep Rally Nov. 3

The following announcement is from the Scarsdale School District:

The Scarsdale Middle School’s Popham House students have been conducting a Pajama Program drive, and are concluding with a pep rally to take place on Monday, November 3, from 9-10 am in the Great Hall of the Middle School. The pep rally will include speakers, featuring Genevieve Piturro, founder of the Pajama Program, as well as live music and student presentations. The pep rally will conclude with the actual stuffing of the bus. The bus will then travel to other schools in Westchester.

Students and teachers have been collecting new pajamas and books (tots to teens) from for the past three weeks. Staff organizers for this effort are social studies teacher Meghan Lahey, Learning Resource Center teacher Jane Strobel and House Counselor Emma Wixted.
