Don't miss this one night only show starring Rob Paravonian, a comedian and musician known for his viral YouTube hit Pachelbel Rant, as well as other viral videos, hit albums, and funny songs. Rob has toured the world, opened for George Carlin and Lily Tomlin, appears regularly on SiriusXM radio, and hosts a monthly variety show in NYC.
Opening for Rob is Bobby Curious, an active presence throughout the Western Catskills as a singer-songwriter known for his interactive, genre-spanning live shows and playful spontaneity.

Besides being fun, improv classes improve interpersonal skills, build confidence, encourage creative risk taking, and increase ability to surf uncertainty. This six week introductory class for children 13-16 has an emphasis on performance, and will culminate in a show for friends and family.
Instructor: Alex Shapiro
Hailing from Madison Wisconsin, Alex performed with multiple improv companies including, The Premise, Atlas Improv, ComedySportz (Madison and New York) and Desperate Measures, which he co-founded at Wesleyan University in 1994. A MopCo regular for the past two years, Alex has been involved with improv since taking classes when he was 13. Alex has years of experience teaching improv classes.
Tuition: Eight classes and showcase performance $150. a limited number of partial scholarships are available; inquire by emailing <a target="_blank" href="mailto:hey@mopco.org?subject=Youth%20Scholarship">hey@mopco.org </a>with the heading "Youth Scholarship."

The basic skills of improvisational theatre are: spontaneity, listening, making your partner look good, and "yes, and" (building with what is present in the moment.) In a fast paced class packed with games and exercises, you will learn to create and collaborate with a team. Improv helps you become more creative, more spontaneous, more open to change, and more tolerant of uncertainty. These attributes are identified as key to success in today's world. Oh, and by the way-- our classes are huge fun, too!
