2. 2 Hurt In 2-Vehicle Crash On William Floyd Parkway: Police (patch.com) — Two separate crashes in and around Shirley on Sunday sent one driver and another motorist to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and left two others shaken but unharmed, police said. 4. Brookhaven Buys 17 Mastic Beach Properties To Preserve Wetlands (southshorepress.com) — Brookhaven Town has approved buying 17 properties in Mastic Beach to permanently preserve flood-prone wetlands that are part of the broader Mastic-Shirley Conservation Area.
