Brookhaven Town Police Blotter: Feb. 3

BROOKHAVEN TOWN, NY — The reports below are excerpts from Suffolk police's 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th precints that comprise Brookhaven Town.

Criminal charges do not indicate a conviction.

  • A Bellport man and woman broke into Kay Cameron Jewelery in Sayville early Tuesday, police said. Montavious Jackson, 31, and Lisa Callister, 32, got into the jewelry store by smashing a glass front door at about 2 a.m. and then made off with some jewelry before they were apprehended in Bohemia, according to police. The pair was charged with third-degree burglary, according to police. Jackson has not posted bail set at $200,000 bond or $50,000 cash and Callister's case was adjourned, online court records show.
  • A Coram woman was arrested Friday after Suffolk police say she touched someone inappropriately inside of Family Dollar in Bellport back in September. Nakiesha Nelson, 40, was charged with forcible touching and criminal contempt in connection with the incident, police said. An order of protection has been issued and Nelson has not posted bail set at $10,000 bond and $5,000 cash, online court records show.
  • A woman was taken to Long Island Community Hospital on Sunday after a Massapequa man struck her with a baseball bat in Brookhaven, police said. The woman was struck by Ryan Keeshan, 29, just after 9 p.m. and he was charged with assualt with the intent to cause injury with a weapon, according to police. An order of protection was issued, online court records show.
  • A 24-year-old man was arrested Sunday for a Mastic Beach burglary back in early January, police said. Michael Henry, 24, entered the window of a Robinwood Drive East home just before 1 p.m. on Jan. 9 and stole cash, as well as a laptop, according to police. It's not clear if anyone was home at the time. Henry was charged with second-degree burglary, police said. An order of protection was issued, online court records show.
