Mastic Beach Man Injured In Assault Treated At LICH: Police

He had non-life-threatening injuries and was taken from the Lidl shopping center in Shirley at about 9:15 a.m., Suffolk cops say.

SHIRLEY, NY — A Mastic Beach man was transported to Long Island Community Hospital after he was injured on Tuesday morning, Suffolk police said.

Seventh precinct officers responded to the parking lot of the shopping center where Lidl is located in Shirley at about 9:15 a.m. when a man, whose name has not been released, came there after he was assaulted at "a different, unknown location," police said. He was transported to the hospital "for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries," according to police.

A police spokesman could not confirm the location where the man was injured.
