• Info Sought On Malnourished Dog Abandoned In Shirley: Police (patch.com) — Police are asking Shirley residents for tips after a severely malnourished mixed-breed dog was found abandoned near Dawn Drive on August 24 and taken for medical care. Suffolk's BEAST Unit is investigating, and Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for anonymous information leading to an arrest, with tips accepted by phone, app, or online.
