• Pedestrian Struck On William Floyd Parkway: Police (patch.com) — A woman from Shirley was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after being hit by a car while legally crossing William Floyd Parkway at Flintlock Drive on Thursday night. Police say the driver, a Patchogue man turning under a green light, failed to yield to the pedestrian in the crosswalk, and the investigation is ongoing.
