Police ID Man Killed On William Floyd Parkway
The man was struck near Roberts Road Friday night, Suffolk police said.
SHIRLEY, NY — Police have identified the man who was killed on William Floyd Parkway in Shirley in one of two fatal crashes in the county within about 15 minutes of each other on Friday night.
Eutichio Triburgo was driving a 2015 Jeep Wrangler southbound on William Floyd Parkway, near the intersection of Roberts Road, when it struck Jeffrey Page, 49, of Shirley in the roadway just before 7 p.m., Suffolk police said. Triburgo, 70, of Shirley was not injured in the crash, but Page was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
Part of the parkway was closed while the 7th Detective Squad investigated.

Police declined to release any further details about the crash.
Ireneusz Matuk, 66, of Selden, was killed in Selden at about 6:35 p.m., police said.

The crash that killed Page was the second fatal crash on the parkway within a roughly 12-hour period on William Floyd Parkway.
Sandra Steinberg, 33, of Moriches, was killed in a crash near Dawn Drive just after 8 a.m., police said.
Police said Steinberg was driving a 2021 Mitsubishi Mirage southbound on William Floyd Parkway when it "left the roadway" and struck an unoccupied 2004 Dodge Ram that was parked on the shoulder of the road.
She was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Her Mitsubishi was impounded for a safety check, according to police.
