Residents Escape Mastic Fire: Suffolk Police

The fire broke out at about 8:17 a.m. on Seaford Avenue, cops say.

MASTIC, NY — Residents inside of a Mastic home escaped to safety after a fire broke out Wednesday morning, Suffolk police said.

The fire broke out on Seaford Avenue at about 8:17 a.m. and arson investigators were called to the scene, a spokeswoman said. No injuries have been reported.

Police not confirm an initial report that the fire broke out in a basement. No further details were immediately released.
