Search On For Sneaker Thief: Cops

SHIRLEY, NY — The search is on for a man who stole sneakers from Kohl's, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Seventh Precinct Crime Section officers are asking for the public’s help to identify and locate the man who stole the black sneakers, valued at $55, from the store, located at 999 Montauk Highway, on June 5 at 7:30 p.m., police said.

He then fled on a bicycle, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about the incident can contact Suffolk County Crime Stoppers to submit an anonymous tip by calling 1-800-220-TIPS, texting “SCPD” and a message to “CRIMES” (274637) or emailing www.tipsubmit.com.
