4 Smithtown Seniors Selected For National Awards

These students have excelled academically and served as positive role models for the student body. Congratulations!

SMITHTOWN, NY — Four students from Smithtown Central School District have been selected to receive the National School Development Council Award. This award is presented to high school seniors who have consistently pursued a high level of academic effort, and who have also acted as positive role models for the student body.

This year’s awards recipients from Smithtown High School West were Meghan Deery and William Alptekin, while from Smithtown High School East, Dylan McCormick and Matthew Pickow were recognized. The National School Development Council is a network of regional school study councils that support excellence, equity and continuous educational improvement.
