A special Blessing of the Bell was performed by Father Michael on September 14 after the 9:30 Mass at the Parish of the Holy Cross, Nesconset. The non-working bell was removed from the bell tower and placed on a platform designed and constructed as part of Ian Hallam’s Eagle Scout Project. In addition to the bell platform, Ian created a beautiful garden around the bell. Ian was assisted by his family and members Troop 3. The bell can now be used again to celebrate the completion of Mass while parishioners can enjoy the beauty of the garden.
