106. Galaxies

Galaxies
Are known to exist but are hardly seen
By those who don’t look.

Blooming Alliums
Are a welcome Galaxy in gardens.
They’re an Earthbound Firmament.

Looking at the Firmament
On the darkest, velvet night makes minds swell
To include vast possibilities.

Imagining the impossible.
Discussing dreams that have no dimensions.
Pretending fear is not at all a factor.

Gazing at the Specks of Light
Mesmerizes and stops the roaring crowd
That searches the sky for signs of Life.

We don’t want to be
Alone among Galaxies. We want Friends.
We wish to sustain our lives.

The Welkin
Plays host to many unknown Galaxies —
The Garden of Stars.
