I Have the Hope

Summer nights spent at the movies
Diminishes oppressive heat
And fans the passions that arise
When manipulated and stirred
By the screen’s sizzling images.

Going to the first show
Before the Sun had set
And being transported
Into another realm
Was my entertainment.
