You heard from your Realtor that you should leave your home left in “broom clean condition” but what exactly does that mean?

“Broom clean” means that your property should be emptied of everything, and at a minimum, swept clean after your stuff has been removed.  Sellers do not have to go any further than this and “Broom clean” doesn't mean that you have to scrub your house down, but it’s certainly a nice gesture. Your responsibility is to leave the house swept and empty of all your belongings.

However, the following items you should pay attention to when cleaning your home for the final time:

• Clean The Floors

•Vacuum The Carpets

• Empty Garage

• Clear Out Attic

• Don't Leave Any Personal Belongings

Remember, you're going to want the same move-in condition when you open the door to your new home too!
