Coding Enrichment Program For Budding Scientists

Smithtown High School East is offering an enrichment program open to all interested 10th -12th grade students.

SMITHTOWN, NY - From Smithtown Central School District: For the second consecutive year, Smithtown High School East science research coordinator Maria Zeitlin has partnered with Brookhaven National Laboratory to provide an enrichment program open to all interested 10th -12th grade students. Through the collaboration, 21 students have participated in the weekly scientific coding seminars, which runs on Fridays from the start of school until the end of April. At the final session on April 27, instructor Dave Biersach, along with the directors of the Brookhaven National Laboratory’s Office of Educational Programs, were on hand to deliver certificates to all the student participants.
