Cops: 4 Arrested at Sobriety Checkpoint

Suffolk County Police arrested four people during an overnight sobriety checkpoint in Huntington Station.

First, Second and Third Precincts coordinated efforts with the Highway Patrol Bureau, arresting four drivers at the sobriety checkpoint on New York Avenue and Church Street from 1:40-3:40 a.m., police said.

Police said the following were charged with driving while intoxicated:

• David Cava, 42, of Huntington
• Vanessa Loccisano, 27, of Wheatley Heights

Police said the following were charged with driving while ability impaired by alcohol:

• Joseph Palazzo, 40, of New Hyde Park
• Ariel Shada, 43, of East Patchogue

All four were scheduled for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip on Satruday.
