Kickline Scholarship Honors Smithtown Student's Memory

The school district banded together for an annual dance/kickline competition honoring a former SHSW student who died in a 2015 car crash.

SMITHTOWN, NY — The Smithtown Central School District community came together Saturday for an annual dance/kickline competition to honor Stephanie Belli, a Smithtown High School West Whisperette alumna who died in a 2015 car crash. To keep her memory alive, a scholarship fund was created in her honor, the school district announced. This year’s dance festival brought together more than 40 teams from the tri-state area.

The winners of this year’s scholarships are Meghan Deery from Smithtown High School West and Jillian Catalano from Smithtown High School East.
