Man Took Photos Up Woman's Dress at Long Island Mall: Police

The woman became suspicious of the man's presence behind her and notified store security Tuesday night, police say.

LAKE GROVE, NY - A 24-year-old Ronkonkoma man faces an unlawful surveillance charge after police say he took photos up a women's dress at the Smith Haven Mall Macy's Tuesday night.

According to police, Scott Coleman approached a 23-year-old woman from behind at the store and took the photos without the woman's knowledge at about 8 p.m.

The woman became suspicious of Coleman's presence behind her and notified store security, police said.

Store security officers notified police and a subsequent investigation confirmed that Coleman took photos of the woman, police said.

Coleman, of Blythe Avenue, is charged with second degree unlawful surveillance and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip Wednesday.
