LONG ISLAND HOTEL PRODUCES NEW VIDEO BASED ON “HARLEM SHAKE” PHENOMENON TO MARKET SUMMER TOURISM

Everyday is Holiday at the Holiday Inn Express Stony Brook

It’s been nearly seven months since Super Storm Sandy and Long Island is finally getting back on track. Hotels aren’t being used as a necessity for powerless homeowners and renters, instead for conferences, events and guests.  The Holiday Inn Express Stony Brook is bringing the fun back to the hospitality industry on Long Island by providing events and activities for the community and their guests. 

A live taping of the Internet sensation Harlem Shake was performed on Thursday June 27th, 2013 on location at The Holiday Inn Express of Stony Brook.  The Harlem shake is a short comedic skit originally performed by five Australian teenagers and became the latest Internet sensation. Prominent members of the community, children and staff all teamed together to produce a video, which highlighted different areas of the hotel. Lenore Paprocky, Director of Sales stated  "The idea of making a Harlem Shake video came about because we really wanted to show off the unique and fun things guests can do when they stay with us at the Holiday Inn Express Stony Brook.  We want to thank everyone who came down to help us film the video. 

Paula Klee Parish, Founder and President of Women on the MOVELI was amongst the participants in the video, "Smiles, giggles, kids to adults have the best time at the Holiday Inn Express because of the creative and innovative thinking of Lenore Paprocky and all the wonderful folks that bring a touch of "home" to there guests - such as participating in their own version of the Harlem Shake. It was a blast!"

 Be prepared to watch a fun, lively and exciting rendition of the Harlem Shake by employees, guests and friends of the Holiday Inn Express Stony Brook, which will be featured on the Holiday Inn Express Stony Brook webpage, Facebook and YouTube channel.
