• Dolores Marie L'HommeDieu, 90 (riverheadlocal.com) — Longtime Smithtown resident and volunteer leader Dolores Marie L'HommeDieu, 90, is remembered for decades of service through the Society for Lending Comforts to the Sick and other local causes. Raised in Smithtown Branch and married at Smithtown Presbyterian Church, she spent much of her life helping township families before later years in Calverton and Florida.

• Four Suffolk Students Earn Distinguished Awards (southshorepress.com) — A Smithtown High School West student, Logan Singleton, earned a prestigious gold-level Distinguished Youth Award for completing all four categories of the county program. Three Hauppauge students were also honored, and Legislator Leslie Kennedy highlighted how these teens from Smithtown and nearby communities are stepping up as future leaders through service and personal growth.
