Police ID Woman Fatally Struck by 2 Cars in Smithtown
The woman was crossing the street on Friday night when she was struck twice.

UPDATE 8:45 p.m.: Kelly Goncalves, 30, of Ronkonkoma, has been identified as the pedestrian who was killed.
SMITHTOWN, NY - A pedestrian was killed after she was struck by two cars in Smithtown on Friday night, according to Suffolk Police.
A woman was crossing Route 347 at Terry Road when she was struck by a 2018 Chevrolet driven by 85-year-old Vincent Confora and then by a 1999 Acura driven by 58-year-old Eric Kramer at 11:50 p.m., police said.

Both vehicles were traveling eastbound.
The woman, whose name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.

Confora, of Coram, and Kramer, of St. James, were not injured, police said..
Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks.
Detectives are asking anyone with information on this crash to call the Major Case Unit at 631-852-6555 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
