Patch: What are your plans for after graduation?

Camson: I hope to work my way into politics, specifically towards an office where I could create public policy. I know it will likely be a huge hurdle, because my political views run right down the middle of the road. The ideological middle is a lonely place in politics today. I may have a lot of support... or none at all!

P: What will you miss most about high school?

C: Mr. Karmin’s class. Learning and joking around with Mr. Karmin and some of my best friends in that class was something I could look forward to everyday. While I’ve never had nor have any particular interest in economics, I knew the material better than that in most classes I’ve ever taken. I credit it to the environment Mr. Karmin created.

P: What are you most looking forward to in moving on to college?

C: Making it better. I love going to new places and figuring out how to improve them. I hope to find a way to make Notre Dame better.

P: What was your favorite memory of high school?

C: Signing yearbooks. Getting to see how your friends really feel about you is something that you don’t get to see often. I think it helps you see who really cares about you, and what you mean to them.

P: What advice would you give to underclassmen?

C: “Don’t you grow up in a hurry” — Kanye West

4 years go by in a blink. Make the most of the time you have. Don’t let go of your creativity.

P: Any teachers/staff that stood out throughout your journey?

C: My Assistant Superintendent Ms. Bradshaw is one of the most influential people in my life. She’s helped me in all of my pursuits and continues to always support me.

P: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

C: Working for a Congressman.

P: Name a fun fact about yourself.

C: I recently read online that since my grandpa’s name is also Kevin Camson, I can go by Kevin Camson II. I think it has a nice ring to it.
