Smithtown HS East Students Thank Veterans With Homemade Cards
Members of the National Honor Society at Smithtown High School East made cards to thank veterans for their service.
SMITHTOWN, NY — Veterans Day, an opportunity to say "thank you" to those who have made selfless sacrifices on behalf of us and our country, was celebrated Monday. Students at Smithtown High School East joined in.
In honor of Veterans Day, members of the National Honor Society crafted homemade cards thanking veterans for their service. The students created more than 300 cards in total that they delivered to the Long Island Veterans Home in Stony Brook on Veterans Day morning.
