Smithtown School Spirit Soars At Winter Olympics

SMITHTOWN, NY — The physical education teachers, along with the Parent-Teacher Association at Accompsett Elementary School in the Smithtown Central School District, held a Winter Olympics competition in the Smithtown High School West gymnasium on Wednesday evening, according to the school district.

Waving their flags high, students were divided into different colored teams to compete in Olympic-style relay races. Dressed in their team colors, the students participated in team-building activities while also showing off their school team spirit. The event taught students about teamwork, collaboration and the importance of physical activity.
