SMITHTOWN, NY — Smithtown High School East 10th grader Aidan Byrus, from Dianne Shanian’s digital media arts class, designed a winning logo in Adobe Illustrator for the school’s annual trip to Carnegie Hall in New York City, according to the Smithtown Central School District.

Orchestra teacher Brian McCoy collaborated with Shanian to offer this design challenge to the art students. Byrus’ design was printed on 300 T-shirts that will be worn by Smithtown High School East student-musicians and their teachers during an April trip to perform at Carnegie Hall.
