Smithtown Students Recognized For Their Civil Efforts
Smithtown High School East and West students were recently selected to receive the Students Building Bridges Award.
SMITHTOWN, NY— From Smithtown Central School District: Smithtown High School East and West students were recently selected to receive the Students Building Bridges Award. They were honored for their efforts in building bridges across communities and creating a more civil society at Suffolk County’s Yom Hashoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day) program hosted at Gurwin Jewish. Each student was recognized with a citation from an elected official and a certificate from the Jewish Community Relations Council of Long Island.
The district congratulates the following students: Alexis Albert (Smithtown High School East), Shayna Moses (Smithtown High School West), Katheryn Schneider (Smithtown High School West), Angela Walz (Smithtown High School East) and Alexander Weiner (Smithtown High School West).
