Third graders at St. James Elementary School created various projects to promote social-emotional learning.
From Smithtown Schools: Third graders at St. James Elementary School in the Smithtown Central School District celebrated the holiday season by creating various projects that promoted social-emotional learning. Students wrote about ways they could brighten the world with compassion, kindness and caring. Their “elf-esteem” writing also reflected on their own qualities, focusing on empowerment, what they like about themselves and their strengths.
The third graders committed to continue to spread kindness to their school, community and beyond in the new year.
