The Knox School (St. James, NY) hosted its 8th Annual Golf Outing on June 23 at the Hamlet Golf & Country Club in Commack. The weather was optimal as approximately eighty golfers enjoyed a fantastic day on this beautiful and challenging private course. The outing began with a continental breakfast provided by Dunkin’ Donuts of St. James and registration followed by a great lunch on the course and lastly, a fun-filled evening of food, raffles and prizes in the ballroom. Over 100 people attended the event that raised more than $15,000 in support of Knox Falcon Athletics.
Among the day’s winners were Michael Langer of Commack who scored “Closest to the Pin” and John Anthony who had the “longest drive.” The putting contest was won by the Damasco, Sena & Jahelka, LLP Group and Michael Langer’s foursome had the best score overall.
The school’s ongoing Inspiration Raffle concluded at the event and winners were drawn at the dinner. Congratulations to the Jay Mohr Family of Smithtown, parents of rising Knox senior Trevor, who walked away with the grand prize Samsung 50” LED Flat Screen Smart TV. Charles Rampone II of Port Jefferson was the winner of the second prize Microsoft Surface Tablet, and Emma Garvey of St. James won His & Hers Bit Flex Wireless Activity & Sleep Wristbands.
