Two Hospitalized After Smithtown Crash

One person was extricated from the car.

SMITHTOWN, NY - Two people were hospitalized after a car crash in Smithtown on Thursday afternoon, according to the Smithtown Fire Department.

The department received a call of a motor vehicle accident with heavy rescue shortly before 3 p.m. on 891 West Jericho Turnpike by the Smithtown Animal Hospital.

Upon arrival, firefighters went to work to extricate a victim from their car.

Two patients were transported to St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center in Smithtown.

There was no report on condition of the injured. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
