• Westchester BOL Approves New Tax Relief for Surviving Spouses, Service Members and Disabled Veterans (yonkerstimes.com) — Somers homeowners who are surviving spouses of fallen first responders, active-duty combat-zone service members, or veterans with serious service-related disabilities may soon qualify for new Westchester County property tax exemptions. Starting with assessment rolls on or after October 1, 2026, eligible residents can apply through the local assessor for significant county tax reductions, including up to a full exemption for some disabled veterans.
